Where to Stay in Addison, TX
Where to Eat in Addison, TX
Lazy Dog. Not far from the Renaissance Dallas Addison, Lazy Dog at the Village on the Parkway center is a delicious spot for Saturday morning brunch after your Friday night out in Addison. In addition to drool-worthy brunch staples like avocado toast and candied bacon, everything we tried on the seasonal Beer & Bites appetizer menu was incredible. I highly recommend trying the grilled artichokes and wings. The service was also top-notch and the ambiance kitschy and fun.
Kenny’s Italian Kitchen. Also located in Village on the Parkway, Kenny’s is great for a romantic date night or a night out with friends. They have tasty and generously-sized cocktails, great appetizers for sharing, and of course, amazing Italian food. I recommend trying the Gnocchi Asiago and Veal Marsala. We also had a delicious ravioli that was one of the chef’s specials that evening. Our crew wanted to taste it all, so we did it family-style and shared each of the appetizers and entrees.
Cantina Laredo. The spot for Sunday brunch on the last day of your weekend in Addison, TX is Cantina Laredo. Their brunch menu entrees include a mimosa or Bloody Maria (which I opted for, and highly recommend). I had the chicken fajita omelet and was not disappointed! The generous portions made it difficult to save room for the churros we had for dessert, but let me tell you, they are worth squeezing the room for! Everything was great, the ambiance perfect for brunch, and the service, like everywhere we visited in Addison, was impeccable.
What to Do in Addison, TX
Concert at Beckert Park. During our visit we were lucky enough to be there for Addison’s free summer concert series at Beckert Park. We had a great time with music from Kody West and delicious samples from Hubert’s Lemonade.
Bitter Sisters Brewery. A tasting and tour at this family-owned brewery is an absolute must during a visit to Addison, TX. The beer was all delicious, and I loved learning about the history of the brewery and the cheeky names for their brews. I especially liked Hot Temper (a hoppy lager), Family Trip (a Belgian-style Tripel), and Winter Bush (an Imperial Stout). It was also a really fun place to hang out on a Saturday afternoon with college football on in the tasting room.
