My husband’s always-amazing, easy guacamole recipe. This quick, delicious appetizer is the best recipe for guacamole that I’ve found, and can be made with or without cilantro. It’s great for a crowd, especially for a football or tailgate party.
Place avocado and red onion in a large mixing bowl. Squeeze in the juice of one lime.
Add the salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the mixing bowl. Smash the avocado with a fork and mix the ingredients together, leaving some chunks of avocado.
Stir in the cilantro (or romaine lettuce*). Serve with tortilla chips or your favorite low-carb vegetables.
Recipe Notes
*If you don’t like the taste of cilantro, you can substitute chopped romaine lettuce in its place, and the guacamole will still come out deliciously.
