Coquito is Puerto Rico’s version of eggnog, using rum (Puerto Rican rum, naturally) and coconut milk.

PUERTO RICAN EGGNOG

– White Puerto Rican rum* – Sweetened condensed milk – Coconut milk – Egg yolks – Ground cinnamon – Ground nutmeg

PUERTO RICAN EGGNOG

As a Puerto Rican, it officially feels like the holiday season when you make your first batch of coquito.

Coquito is Puerto Rico’s version of eggnog, using rum (Puerto Rican rum, naturally) and coconut milk.

PUERTO RICAN EGGNOG

– White Puerto Rican rum* – Sweetened condensed milk – Coconut milk – Egg yolks – Ground cinnamon – Ground nutmeg

INGREDIENTS

STEP 1

In a blender, mix all ingredients together. You may need to do this in two batches depending on the size of your blender.

STEP 2

Pour blended mixture into empty bottles. Chill thoroughly in the refrigerator.

STEP 3

Before pouring into glasses to serve, shake bottle vigorously.
