What you need to make curry hot dogs

To make these frying pan seasoned hot dogs, here’s what you’ll need:
- 8 hot dogs (Angus beef hot dogs were used for this recipe but any hot dog of choice will work)
- 1 tablespoon grapeseed oil or vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 8 hot dog buns
- Your preferred hot dog toppings (You can top the curry hot dogs with any preferred toppings. Ketchup and mustard add a nice hit of sweetness and tang to the curry flavor. Pickled red onions is another delicious topping to compliment the curry on these frying pan hot dogs.)
How to make these frying pan hot dogs (with indian hot dogs spices)

To make this curry hot dog recipe, start by slicing each hot dog crosswise diagonally about ⅓-inch deep five times spaced out (see the photo above).

To make the spice blend for these seasoned hot dogs, add oil, curry powder, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and turmeric powder to a small bowl and mix well.

Pour the oil and spice mixture into a non-stick skillet and use a spatula to spread the mixture around the pan bottom. Add the hot dogs to the skillet, and use the spatula or tongs to roll the hot dogs around so that they are coated in the spice mixture.


Pan frying hot dogs is quick and easy! Heat the skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the curry hot dogs, rolling them every few minutes for about 4-5 minutes until they are plumped and the skin browns.
