CUJO is a smart firewall that protects your home network (and the attached devices) with the same level of security that is standard for businesses. It connects to your home Wi-Fi router and scans and protects from things like viruses, hacks, and malicious websites. It also has an integrated app that allows you to manage devices on your network, alerts you to new devices connected and threats, and even allows you to manage parental controls for online access on your children’s devices! For the techies out there, it is good to point out that it includes a 1GB Ethernet for speed!
You can get your own CUJO at Best Buy here with a number of different security subscription options.
Setting up the CUJO was much easier than I expected. The box included some quick-start instructions that directed me to download the CUJO app to complete the activation. The app then walked me through the remaining steps, which included a YouTube video tutorial. While the instructions seemed a bit technical to hear, the CUJO and the app really took me through it much more simply than it seemed. Another surprise was that I received an immediate phone call and email offering technical support for set-up right then and there if I needed it. I didn’t actually need it, since the process was quick and easy.
Just like that, within minutes, I already felt more secure. The CUJO app started pulling in data from my home network (which they say can take hours to fully update on first activation). It included information on the connected devices and any active threats, and offered me quick tutorials for managing device security and taking action against any threats if/when one is detected.
With how connected we are these days, especially in our own homes, this kind of information security protection is no longer optional. Get your CUJO Smart Firewall at Best Buy here.
