I can’t believe how fast this year has flown by! Here we are, the week of Thanksgiving. Which means it’s time for my annual What to Wear – Where outfit inspiration post for the holidays! Not only will this give you a snapshot of some of the key fall/winter 2017 trends, but you can also shop the outfits in this post directly in the carousel at the very end of this post.
Thanksgiving
A burgundy one-shoulder top is elegant enough for a nice dinner, but can be paired with jeans and booties for a more casual look. The waist tie on this top from Express adds a feminine FW17 touch that’s still easy to move in.
Black Friday Shopping
Get ready to hit the mall in style! Faux fur trim is hot right now, as is pink. I paired the statement coat with some raw hem jeans and ruffle-detail Tori pumps from JustFab. If you’re not a member of JustFab yet, click here to join so you can get the VIP pricing on the shoes.
Christmas Tree Farm
Sweaters don’t have to be plain. This burgundy sweater from Express has a ruffle-shoulder with a cutout detail on the sleeve.
Tree Lighting
Plaids, checks, herringbones, and tartans are all in right now for jackets and tops. This heritage-style double-breasted coat is en vogue, while also being versatile and warm. I am wearing it with Phelan slouchy boots from JustFab. If you’re not a member of JustFab yet, click here to join so you can get the VIP pricing on the boots.
Office Party
Another pair of amazing boots at JustFab right now are these metallic gold leopard-print Shylan booties. Since the booties are the statement of the outfit, pair it with a simple, ruffle-sleeve LBD, like this one from ASOS. If you’re not a member of JustFab yet, click here to join so you can get the VIP pricing on the booties.
Friends Party
Brights are in for fall and winter, in addition to the typical rich fall tones. Play with color this season with bright pink (like this sweater from Express) or yellow. Add some edge to your cable-knit look with a faux leather skirt and fishnets (also from Express) and OTK boots (the same slouchy style from JustFab).
Christmas Eve
The tree won’t be the only thing glowing on Christmas Eve with these metallic silver Madelina booties. I have paired it with a simple gray one-shoulder sweater dress from Shein. If you’re not a member of JustFab yet, click here to join so you can get the VIP pricing on the booties.
Christmas Day
Corset shirts and belts are another trend this season. This red blouse from Express adds a bit of classic style to the festivities.
New Years Eve
Satin or sequins are the only way to go for NYE. This year I am opting for this emerald green jumpsuit from Shein to go with my bubbly.
New Years Day Brunch
There’s only one way to bring in the new year… in style! Sweater dresses are classic and effortless, but they get an upgrade with some dramatic metallic boots like this Zuria style from JustFab. If you’re not a member of JustFab yet, click here to join so you can get the VIP pricing on the boots.
Kid’s Edition
Our boys absolutely love Nano for the comfort (all of Nano’s clothes have comfort and activity in mind, as they should for littles!), and I love them for the trendy styles. They have some adorably cheeky kids holiday looks on sale right now, like this dinosaur-riding Santa thermal and this gingerbread cookie long-sleeve tee. They look and feel great with Nano’s varying styles of joggers. Take advantage of Nano’s Black Friday sale now by using code THANKS30 for an extra 30% off!
Wishing you and your family a fabulous holiday season and a fashionable new year! Xoxo — Ramona
