Warning: potentially-embarrassing and possibly-TMI topic ahead! Valentine’s Day is almost here, and us girls are being hit with lingerie sale ads from every direction. While I personally like getting myself a little something that makes me feel sexy (not just for my man, but for myself), a question has recently occurred to me: why is it just on the woman in the relationship to don something sexy for her partner on V-Day? I say let’s ask him to slip into something more comfortable for our enjoyment and objectification!
Ladies and gentlemen, let’s get real for a moment. Not only do our male partners have a preference for their underwear (is your man a tighty-whitey guy? A boxer Joe? An efficient boxer brief dude? Or does he go commando?), but we do, too. Fortunately my hubby and I are on the same page. He is a boxer brief guy, and I have to admit that I think he looks great (wink wink) in them.
This year, instead of buying myself some designer unmentionables for Valentine’s, I treated my husband to some fancy underthings, specifically, the Cool Cotton Boxer Brief from Tommy John.
Now, I may be embarrassing my husband enough with all this talk, but you will note that I did not convince him to model these for the blog. That fun is reserved for me alone (wink wink).
OK, back to the Tommy Johns I got him. The hubs had heard of Tommy John (they come stylish-man approved), and was actually really excited to try them. Not only are they really comfortable (they have a stay-put waistband, a high-tech fly, and breathable, moisture-wicking fabric), but they are also really cute.
We chose the colors Agave (look how they match his eyes!), and Navy. Both colors are beautiful.
This pair is long in the leg, but Tommy John has a lot of different shapes and styles based on your guy’s preference. They even have a Valentine’s Day collection!
Check out Tommy John for yourself… but heed my warning: this may be the only type of underwear your man wants to wear again! Is your man (or are you) a boxer, brief, boxer brief, thong, or commando guy? Comment below!
