The Differences Between A Walking Shoe & Running Shoe

Most people would assume that a shoe is just a shoe, but is this the truth? Another misconception is that running shoes and walking shoes are the same things. People tend to think that they can use one pair for the same activity. However, this is no true at all. What exactly is it that we know about shoes? Let me walk you through the differences between them.

One of the most important activities a person can do is walk. It’s averaged that a baby begins to walk between 9 and 18 months old. Even though walking is an essential part of life, many people are suffering from various joint and alignment issues that keep them from walking properly. The one source of the issue that stands out the most is wearing the wrong footwear.

It’s All About Comfort

Sure, your new pair of kicks may look cool, but are they comfortable to run, walk, or stand around in? You have to take care of your feet and the only logical way to do that is to wear a pair of comfortable and sturdy shoes. Wondering about comfortable shoes for vacation? Check out my tips on 5 things to look for in vacation footwear.

Insoles Matter

One feature that running shoes have to protect the impact on your feet are insoles. These insoles can either be made from memory foam or orthopedic. The memory foam is a great shock absorber and helps prevent injury. More so, the lightweight factor and breathability of the shoe make it extremely easy for runners to go longer distances without being subject to pain or aches in their joints and feet.

Why Do Walking Shoes Stand Out?

Walking shoes are designed with structural integrity in mind. The shoe should wrap around the wearer’s feet. They should also be lightweight and with enough padding to help prevent blisters and sore feet as well as promote ideal blood flow. You may want the performance to outweigh all other factors, but you don’t have to completely forget about aesthetics. As the shoe industry continues to evolve, there are more shoes with both great appearances and comfort. Your feet can look great as well as feel great. There are always good looking and functional shoes available during shoe sales.

So Which Do You Choose?

Depending on what you need the shoes for, you could opt for a pair of running or walking shoes. However, you need to make sure that your footwear meets all of the criteria for an ideal shoe. This includes comfort, performance, and aesthetics. As shoes keep evolving on the market, it’s easy to find the right footwear during a Nike shoes sale that matches your budget, whatever it may be. You no longer have to worry about spending an arm and a leg on a new pair of shoes thanks to evolving technology.

If you enjoy spending money on the good items, consider investing in a nice pair of shoes that will last many years. Why exactly should you invest in a top-quality pair of shoes? Well, for starters, you won’t need to change your shoes frequently due to easy wear and tear. Know the basics of shoe shopping to help make your decision easier.
