Booking your next holiday is one of the most exciting times of the year as you prepare to choose where to visit next and what to do while you are there. Of course, choosing your accommodation is one of the most essential parts of a trip.

Throughout the USA, you can find a range of fantastic hotels and accommodation options that will undoubtedly make for a pleasant stay. But if you’re looking for something more fun and memorable, there are many unique hotels that are a different cut from the more contemporary options. Below, we go through some of the most unusual hotels in the United States.

Wigwam Village, Holbrook, Arizona

First on this list is the Wigwam Village, located in Holbrook, Arizona. The Wigwam Motel is a chain with several camps set up across the southwest and west of the country. The Wigwam Village in Arizona has a long history dating back to 1950 when it was first established. It can be found off the famous Route 66, making it the perfect place to stop for those on a road trip along the famous Route to enjoy the unique surroundings of this part of the USA.

There are 15 wigwams in total here, meaning if you are considering staying here, you should book your stay well in advance to avoid missing out. You can expect to have typical amenities that you would find at a motel, including cable TV and a hot shower, making your stay ideal for getting some rest before you set off back on the road the next day. As the sun goes down, you get to appreciate the beautiful night sky, which lights up thanks to the remoteness of this location and the lack of light pollution.

Dog Bark Park Inn, Cottonwood, Idaho

The next hotel on this list is the Dog Bark Park Inn, located in Cottonwood, Idaho. This may be the only place in the world where you can stay in a giant beagle — not something many people can say they have done. It was built back in 2003 and still stands tall to this day. In addition to the giant beagle, there is also a gift shop where you can pick up doggy-themed souvenirs as a token to remember this unique experience.

During your time in Cottonwood, you can do several fun activities, from exploring the historic old town to visiting its iconic Center for Arts. There are also a number of vineyards located in this region of Idaho where you can try some locally made wine as you enjoy the relaxed environment and beautiful surroundings of this part of the USA.

Beckham Creek Cave Lodge, Parthenon, Arkansas

Beckham Creek Cave Lodge is one of the more unique places on this list in Parthenon, Arkansas. Here, you have the opportunity to stay in a cave that has been renovated to house guests who want to experience what it’s like to be a member of the Flintstones. The cave room itself has walls and ceilings that are made from the natural wall of the wave, and a grand, cascading waterfall is the centerpiece of the room. The cave room is rather impressive, with a total of 5 bedrooms, a main room, a kitchen, and even a recreational room.

Arkansas is located in the west-south central region of the United States, which means if you are traveling from the west or east coast of America or even from a different country, you will need to travel by plane to reach the destination.

If you want to make your journey here as comfortable and luxurious as possible, then you may want to charter a luxury jet. This will provide you with the most flexibility when it comes to flying times, unparalleled comfort and accessibility, and a chance to begin your holiday in the lap of luxury. You can also avoid the stress of large airports and potential flight delays and cancellations that are common when flying with commercial airlines.

The Liberty Hotel, Boston, Massachusetts

The final hotel on this list is the Liberty Hotel, located in Boston, Massachusetts. Here, you can stay in a former jail that housed inmates, including the former mayor of Boston, James Curley, and Malcolm X. The jail has been transformed to offer guests luxury rooms that boast comfort and convenience. The hotel also has a renowned bar and restaurant. Although the building was formerly used as a jail, the experience is nothing short of fantastic.

Book Your Next Fun Trip Away Now

Countless hidden gems await discovery across the USA. While luxurious hotels offer familiar comforts, why not make your next journey truly unforgettable? By choosing a unique accommodation, you’ll create memories that last a lifetime and stories you’ll cherish for years to come. Step off the beaten path and turn your vacation into an extraordinary adventure.
