I am a huge fan of Candy Melts, in case you haven’t noticed. For years they have been my go-to for easily adding color for a holiday or party theme to all sorts of treats. So when my friends at Wilton asked if I could create some macaron decorating ideas using Candy Melts for #NationalMacaronDay, I jumped at the chance! If you’re looking for ideas for how to decorate French macarons for seasonal themes or events, these three ideas are easy and beginner-friendly! I went with spring colors, but these ideas can translate for other seasons as well with different color Candy Melts and sprinkles. Check out some photos of how the projects turned out below, and get the detailed instructions for the 3 Ways to Decorate Macarons on Wilton’s website here!

How to decorate French Macarons

For this project, I decided to make macarons decorated with Candy Melts roses, macarons with Candy Melts stripes and sprinkles (in a spring pastel color scheme), and Candy Melts “honey” with icing bees. Choose from any of the three ideas or make all three! Visit 3 Ways to Decorate Macarons for the instructions, but here’s how they turned out.

All you need for these macaron decorating ideas are Candy Melts and a silicone mold. Be sure to check out the instructions on Wilton to see how to make them and adhere them to the macarons.

Candy Melts Stripes and Sprinkles Macarons

This macaron decorating idea couldn’t be easier! Feel free to experiment with different color combinations for the macarons, Candy Melts, and sprinkles to match any party or holiday color scheme.

Candy Melts “Honey” with Icing Bees Macarons

Similar to the Candy Melts drizzle on my Easy S’mores Treats Pops or my Crispy Paint Brush Treats, yellow Candy Melts become dripping honey on these macarons! Add a Wilton bee icing decoration and you have an adorable (and easy!) treat!
