How to make this chicken bacon ranch pasta Instant Pot recipe
To make this Instant Pot chicken bacon ranch, start by using the Sauté function on a multi-function electric pressure cooker. Cook 6 pieces of bacon in the pot until they are crisp (you may need to work in batches). Remove the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to cool, but leave the bacon grease in the pot.
Season cubed boneless, skinless chicken breasts with garlic salt, then add the chicken to the pot with the bacon grease. Add minced garlic to the pot along with the chicken, and sauté everything in the bacon grease (to infuse it with some extra bacony goodness) until the chicken is just starting to brown (about 4 minutes). Push Cancel to end Sauté function.
Remove the chicken from the pot with a slotted spoon and set it aside.
Add chicken stock to the pot and stir with a wooden or plastic spoon, scraping the bottom of the pot until all the browned bits are loosened. This deglazing step is important to avoid the pot’s Burn warning while it pressure cooks later. After the browned bits are all loosened, stir in 2 tablespoons of dry ranch dressing and seasoning mix (or one 1-ounce packet of dry ranch dressing mix), pepper, and garlic powder. Add a 12-ounce package of spaghetti noodles, broken in half, to the pot, making sure the noodles are all submerged in the liquid, but do not stir the noodles.
Place the reserved chicken on the top of the pasta, along with 8-ounces of cubed cream cheese, but do not stir. Just leave ’em sitting on top. Close and lock the pressure cooker lid, make sure the pressure/steam release switch is set to sealing, and set the cooking time to 8 minutes at high/normal pressure. It will take about 9 minutes for the pot to reach pressure before the cooking time begins. After the pressure cooking time ends, carefully release the pressure using the manufacturer’s quick release method.
Open the lid and stir the Instant Pot chicken pasta until the cream cheese has completely blended into the sauce and any noodles that were stuck together have broken up.
Crumble the bacon you made earlier and stir it into the cream cheese chicken pasta. Let the Instant Pot ranch chicken pasta sit in the pot until the sauce is thickened (this will take about 2 to 3 minutes) before serving. Garnish the Instant Pot chicken bacon ranch pasta with chopped chives.
This one-pot chicken bacon ranch pasta is not only easy and convenient, but also super delicious and kid-friendly!
The flavor of this cream cheese ranch chicken is totally crave-worthy!
