What you need to make this creamy Instant Pot Pasta
To make this Instant Pot sausage pasta recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 3 cups chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 12 ounces uncooked fettuccine pasta, broken in half
- 10 ounces cooked Italian sausage crumbles (you can always brown your own sausage in advance, but using pre-cooked crumbles like you’d top on pizza helps keep this recipe under 30 minutes)
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
- 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, drained
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups baby spinach

How to make Tuscan-Inspired Instant Pot creamy sausage pasta
This Instant Pot sausage and pasta dish is so good that it’s almost hard to believe it’s completely prepared and cooked in just half an hour. Here are step-by-step photos for how to make this creamy Instant Pot pasta with sausage.
For this Instant Pot sausage pasta recipe, you will start by pouring the chicken stock, lemon juice, basil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder into the pot and stir. Add the fettuccine, making sure the noodles are all submerged, but do not stir.
Place the sausage on top of the noodles, followed by the cubed cream cheese and tomatoes.
Close the Instant Pot lid and set the cooking time to 6 minutes at high/normal pressure for al dente pasta (add 1 minute if you want softer noodles). It will take 12 minutes to reach pressure before the cooking time begins for your Instant Pot pasta and sausage.
After the pressure cooking time ends, quick release the pressure. Carefully open the lid and add the Parmesan cheese to the pot, stirring until the cream cheese and Parmesan cheese have completely blended into the pasta sauce and any noodles that were stuck together have broken up. Stir in the spinach and let the pasta sit in the pot, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes. The sauce will thicken quite a bit during those few minutes, so don’t worry if your creamy Instant Pot pasta sauce seems thin when you first open in the lid. The magic happens after stirring in the cheese and letting it sit for those 2 minutes.
Serve the Tuscan Instant Pot creamy sausage pasta in bowls garnished with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
