I received a discounted stay at Higgins Hotel. The opinions are my own. I was not financially compensated for this post.
New Orleans is one of my favorite cities in the entire world. We recently had the chance to spend a few days in the city while driving through to get to a baseball tournament in Alabama, and we stayed at the fabulous Higgins Hotel New Orleans. I’ve had the Higgins on my radar for years, with it being a Hilton property located in the heart of New Orleans’ Arts & Warehouse District, and am so glad I finally had the opportunity for a stay. After a few nights, I can confidently say that Higgins Hotel is my new go-to in New Orleans. Between the exceptional service (at every point during our stay), the comfortable and gorgeously appointed rooms, the chic Art Deco decor, the fabulous dining options, and the prime location on the campus at The National WWII Museum, the Higgins Hotel is a must-stay. Keep reading to learn more about just why we love this Four Diamond property in NOLA, and why it should be the top of your list if you’re looking for hotels in the Warehouse District New Orleans.

Location of this New Orleans Warehouse District hotel

Higgins Hotel is one of the best choices for hotels in the Warehouse District New Orleans. History enthusiasts will especially love the fact that it’s located on campus at The National WWII Museum! You can easily spend two days visiting this museum, which also happens to be the top-rated attraction in New Orleans! The museum tells the story of the American experience in the war, along with what it has meant for history and even our present day, and is a must-visit.
Also in the Arts & Warehouse District are countless other museums, art galleries, trendy dining options, and a casino. All of this is located just a short Uber or Streetcar ride to the French Quarter. The Quarter is also walkable from Higgins Hotel if you don’t mind long walks (and depending on what shoes you’re wearing).
The Higgins Hotel New Orleans property

You can watch a great video tour of the Higgins Hotel here, but the design and decor is one of my favorite things about the hotel property. Higgins Hotel has Art Deco and WWII-inspired interiors in the hotel common areas and rooms as a nod to the location on The National WWII Museum campus. These features and details make it a very Instagrammable hotel, so be sure to bring your OOTDs for lots of photo opportunities.

The hotel service is also some of the best I’ve experienced in years, and was felt at every point during our stay. See for yourself by keeping up with and communicating with The Higgins Hotel using your favorite platform:

Dining at The Higgins Hotel New Orleans

You can learn more about the Higgins Hotel New Orleans dining options and view the menus here, but I also rate this as one of the reasons the hotel is a must-stay. In a foodie city like NOLA, it’s not easy for hotels to compete with all the incredible restaurants in the city, but Higgins Hotel holds its own. Here is a summary of your on-site dining options.

Rosie’s on the Roof. Rooftop bar with a fabulous view serving local favorites, finger food, and items from the grill. Themed after Rosie the Riveter, this is a fun spot to catch happy hour before a night out in NOLA, whether you’re staying at Higgins Hotel or not.

Kilroy’s Lounge. Comfortable, air conditioned lounge to savor cocktails and bar bites with a Southern twist. Great place to beat the NOLA summer heat!
Café Normandie. Open for breakfast and lunch daily, and dinner four nights per week, this upscale dining option features French-inspired fare from the Province of Normandie, France.

Provisions. Marketplace and coffee shop where you can stock up on house-made treats and grab-and-go favorites in the Higgins Hotel lobby. In addition to the treats, you can also snag gift items and try specialty coffees, beer, and wine.

The rooms and outstanding service alone are enough for me to recommend Higgins Hotel, but when you combine that with the incredible food and location, you simply can’t go wrong when deciding to stay here.
