Pre-Made Ranch and Hummus Veggie Cups

These are great to prep in advance for kids to grab whenever they need a snack.
What You Need:
- Small cups (you can use small jars or plastic cups)
- Ranch and/or hummus
- Veggies, such as celery sticks, carrot sticks, sliced bell pepper, sliced cucumber, cherry or grape tomatoes
- Toothpicks

Instructions:
Add ranch or hummus to the bottom of the cup. Add smaller veggies like cherry tomatoes to a toothpick. Add the toothpick to the cup along with various veggie sticks. Place the tray in the fridge so the cups are ready to grab-and-go.
Mixed Berry Frozen Yogurt and Granola Bites

Assembled in a silicone mini muffin pan, this frozen yogurt berry bites recipe uses two flavors of yogurt swirled together over bits of granola and topped with raspberries and blueberries. They can also be customized with different flavors of yogurt and other combinations of berries. Get the detailed recipe and instructions for the Mixed Berry Frozen Yogurt Bites with Granola here.
Banana, Peanut Butter, and Chocolate Bites

Another tasty, frozen example of summer snack ideas for kids are these sweet chocolate, peanut butter, and banana bites.
What You Need:
- Bananas, peeled and sliced
- Peanut butter
- Wax paper
- Melting chocolate or chocolate-flavored candy melts

Instructions:
Spread peanut butter on a slice of banana, then sandwich another piece of banana on top. Place on a piece of wax paper. Repeat with the rest of your banana slices, then place in the freezer for one hour. Melt chocolate according to package directions. Dip the frozen banana and peanut butter bites halfway into the chocolate, then place back on the wax paper. Place back in the freezer for 15 more minutes for the chocolate to set. Store the bites in an air-tight container in the freezer.
Crinkle-Cut Watermelon “Fries”

This is an easy, fun, and tasty way to serve watermelon!
What You Need:
- Watermelon
- Crinkle cutter knife
- Honey
- Tajin seasoning

Instructions:
Cut watermelon into fries using a wavy cutter. Serve drizzled with honey and/or sprinkled with Tajin seasoning.
Fruit Kabobs

This fun, colorful snack can be prepped in advance and helps kids get their fruit servings.
What You Need:
- Kabob skewers
- Assorted fruit (I chose a variety of fruit to make the colors of a rainbow: watermelon, strawberries, orange, pineapple, green grapes, blueberries, and blackberries)
- Optional: Small cookie cutters

Instructions:
Cut fruit into bite-size pieces. A fun touch is to cut some of the fruit into shapes using small cookie cutters. Skewer the fruit pieces onto kabob skewers. Refrigerate until ready to snack.
Apple Slice “Donuts”

Apple slices are more fun when decorated like donuts!
What You Need:
- Apples
- Icing tip (or other small round circle cutter)
- Peanut butter, Nutella, and/or strawberry yogurt
- Mini chocolate chips and/or sprinkles

Instructions:
Slice apples into rings, then use an icing tip or small round cutter to make a hole in the center, cutting out the seeds. Spread peanut butter, chocolate hazelnut spread, strawberry yogurt, or a combination of any of them onto the apple slices. Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips or sprinkles to complete the donut look. Serve fresh.
Cucumber Hummus Bites

If you need more savory summer snack ideas for kids, these cucumber and hummus bites are delish!
What You Need:
- Cucumber
- Hummus
- Cherry or grape tomatoes
- Optional: Crumbled feta cheese

Instructions:
Slice cucumbers into rings. Add hummus to the top of the cucumber slices. Slice cherry or grape tomatoes in half diagonally, then place a piece on top of the hummus. If desired, sprinkle with crumbled feta.

Ham and Pickle Roll-Ups

If your kids love pickles like mine do, they’ll love this snack idea!
What You Need:
- Tortillas
- Herbed cream cheese (such as chive and onion or garlic and herb)
- Sliced ham
- Pickle spears

Instructions:
Spread herbed cream cheese onto a tortilla, covering completely (getting all the way to the ends). Add sliced ham, then another thin layer of the cream cheese on top of the ham. Add pickle spears long enough to cover the diameter of the tortilla, then roll tightly. The cream cheese should help seal it together. Slice into rings.
