What you need to make Cricut Valentine’s cards

Cricut cutting machine (I used my Explore Air 2)
Cricut Cardstock Sampler, Sorbet
Cricut Mat (I prefer a Light Grip Mat for cardstock)
Cricut Black Pen, 0.4 tip
Cricut weeding tools
Small toys (I used little sticky hand toys, mini gel pens, and cute little erasers)
Cricut Glitter Tape Sampler, Assorted

How to make these easy Cricut Valentine cards

Valentine's Day Cricut projects: Gen Z Valentines

For these Cricut Valentine’s Day card ideas I decided on three Gen Z, punny phrases to pair with little toys for three different cards:

“I hope this Valentine’s Day just hits different” with a little sticky hand toy
“Valentine, you’re the coolest. No cap” with a mini gel pen
“You pass the vibe check, Valentine” with a cute little eraser

To start, design your Cricut Valentines cards’ art in the Cricut Design Space app. When adding text, make sure to choose a font that would work well for writing, and set the Operation to Pen. I also added little heart shapes for fun. Add a square shape around the art and resize to 3″x5″, and set the Operation to Basic Cut. Highlight the art and rectangle together, then select Actions: Attach.

Load the pen into your Cricut machine so you can write on your Cricut Valentines (if you’ve not done this before, you’ll press the pen down until you hear a click). Next, load the cardstock on the mat, texture side down (as the smooth side is better for writing).

Follow the instructions on your app and Cricut machine to “Make It,” selecting the appropriate pen size, materials, and mat size for your Cricut Valentines.

After the first set of Cricut Valentines cards has finished writing and cutting, remove the cards from the mat, and repeat the process with your remaining card designs.
