The full Low Carb Peach and Rosemary Gin Fizz recipe is at the end of this post, but first I’m sharing some important tips for making this low carb gin cocktail to perfection.
What you’ll need to make this gin peach cocktail
This peach gin fizz recipe makes two servings, but it can be easily halved (or doubled) depending on how many people you are serving. Here is what you’ll need to make two of these low carb gin cocktails:
- 4 1/2 ounces gin
- 2 ounces Torani Puremade Zero Sugar Peach Syrup
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 egg white
- Ice
- 10 ounces club soda, or enough to top your glasses
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
How to make a low carb peach gin fizz
A lot of people wonder about the difference between a gin fizz and a Tom Collins cocktail, which have similar ingredients. The short answer is that gin fizzes are, well, fizzy, they are shaken, and they are served without ice (whereas a Tom Collins is stirred then served over ice). Gin fizz cocktails get their signature fizziness from a process called “dry shaking,” where egg whites are vigorously shaken with other ingredients before any ice is added to the shaker. When shaken this way first, the egg white creates a delightful foam that is a signature of the gin fizz.
To make this low carb gin cocktail, start by adding the gin, Torani Puremade Zero Sugar Peach Syrup, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and an egg white to a shaker (without ice) and shake vigorously for 15-30 seconds. After that point, add a few ice cubes to the shaker and shake until the mixture is well-chilled.
Strain the gin peach cocktail into two highball or Collins glasses, then top with club soda. Finally, add a sprig of fresh rosemary to each of the glasses. The sweetness of the peach flavor with the light spiciness of the rosemary is a delicious summer combination!
