I know I’ve said it before, but St. Patrick’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. As you know, I get really into holiday themes, but for some reason I get really into St. Paddy’s Day. Maybe it’s my hubby’s Irish heritage, maybe it’s the magic we experienced on our road trip through Ireland a few years ago, maybe it’s the excuse to eat corned beef (one of my favorite foods, ever), maybe it’s because the green theme is fun to work with (check out this roundup of fun St. Patrick’s Day treats); or maybe it’s a little bit of all of that. In any event, I love it and am always looking for new fun ways to celebrate in the theme. Today I’m sharing a St. Patrick’s Day Snack Board full of fun St. Patrick’s Day treats for kids. If you’re searching for kid-friendly St. Patrick’s Day snacks and food ideas, you can’t go wrong with this one! I’m sharing all the details below, but be sure to pin this one for later.

Here’s what I used to make this St. Patrick’s Day snack board. Feel free to customize it with your other favorite St. Patrick’s Day treats for kids (like my delicious Mint Swirl Shamrock Brownies), different green or rainbow candies (green Hershey’s Kisses, sixlets, gumballs, and gummi bears are also great additions), or even green fruits and veggies (apples, kiwi, grapes, honeydew melon, broccoli, celery, etc.).

  • Green St. Patrick’s Day Lucky Charms Treats (they’re like Rice Krispies Treats, but made with Lucky Charms and dyed green – get the recipe here), cut into shamrock shapes with a shamrock cookie cutter.
  • Mini pretzels dipped in green candy melts (I dipped some in dark green candy melts and some in light green candy melts), then topped with green and white nonpareils sprinkles.
  • Mint OREOs dipped in green candy melts (inspired by this recipe on Livingly)
  • Green foil-wrapped chocolate balls
  • Green M&Ms
  • Mint M&Ms
  • Green jelly beans (I used Kiwi Jelly Belly jelly beans, but the Green Apple Jelly Belly flavor would work as well)
  • Gold chocolate coins
  • Rainbow swirl lollipops
  • Rainbow Berry Airheads Xtremes Bites

Chocolate coins were a fun addition to the St. Patrick’s Day snack board, representing the leprechaun’s pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Rainbow candies and treats were another fun way to break up the green while staying on theme.
