What you need to make one-pot ground beef recipes like this

To make this one-pan cheesy ground beef skillet dinner, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 (6.5-ounce) package cheddar and broccoli rice and pasta blend (such as Rice-a-Roni)
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup baby carrots
- 1 medium head of broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 3/4 cup cherry or grape tomatoes, cut in half diagonally
How to make this one-pan cheesy ground beef recipe

To make this cheesy ground beef recipe, start by adding ground beef to a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until the meat is browned and crumbly (about 8 minutes), then drain the excess oil from the skillet.
Next, add water, the rice mixture and seasoning packet from the rice and pasta blend package, butter, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the skillet and stir until the dry ingredients are well mixed into the liquid. Add the carrots (just the carrots for now), stir, and heat to boiling. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook the cheesy ground beef skillet for 15 minutes, or until the rice and carrots are almost tender.
Then, add the broccoli to the skillet and stir (you don’t want to add the broccoli too early or it will get mushy since it cooks much faster than the carrots). Cover the skillet again, and cook for 5 minutes, or until the broccoli is crisp-tender.
Add half the cheese and the tomatoes and stir (tomatoes cook even faster then the broccoli, which is why we’re adding everything in phases). Cook, uncovered for 1 minute or until the tomatoes have heated through.

Finally, turn off the heat and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the one-pot ground beef recipe. Allow the pan to sit until the cheese has melted, then serve! Tip: You can put the lid over the top temporarily to help the cheese melt nicely.

So much yumminess in one pan!

Look at that cheesy goodness, though!
