You already know that I’m a big fan of Godshall’s Beef Bacon and Turkey Bacon (they’re just #SimplyBetterBacon), so when I saw that they had Chicken Bacon in stores near me, I had to try it! Just like the other Godshall’s products, it is SO good, and worked perfectly in this easy Chicken Bacon and Cheese Turnovers recipe! It’s real wood smoked (without any artificial chemical flavors) for a rich smoky taste and aroma. It’s also the same high-quality I expect from all Godshall’s products, and they use only US-raised chickens! It cooks crispy and is great on its own or in recipes like this one. Don’t have chicken bacon? You can also make these cheese and bacon turnovers with regular pork bacon, turkey bacon, or even beef bacon. They are perfect for a holiday brunch or a Mother’s Day breakfast in bed, as they present beautifully while being simple to make with only a handful of ingredients. Here’s how to make Bacon and Cheese Turnovers (and you can also watch me make this crave-worthy recipe in this video on Instagram), and stay tuned for more chicken bacon recipes!

How to make Bacon and Cheese Turnovers

You can watch me make this Chicken Bacon and Cheese Turnovers recipe in this video on Instagram if you’d like to see the steps visually, but you’ll start by preheating the oven to 415 degrees F and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cook the pieces of bacon according to package directions. Spread thawed puff pastry out onto a lightly floured surface and use a rolling pin to roll the pastry into an even rectangle. Cut the pastry into 6 equally sized squares using a pizza cutter (a knife will work as well, but pizza cutters are so easy).
Now it’s time to assemble the cheese and bacon turnovers. Place a piece of bacon diagonally on top of each pastry square, then divide the shredded cheese evenly on top of the bacon. Fold one of the side corners over the cheese, followed by the other side corner and press the pastry firmly together.
Move the pastry bundles to the prepared baking sheet. In a small dish, beat an egg with water to create an egg wash, then brush the pastries with the egg wash.
Bake the Bacon and Cheese Turnovers in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown.

This Bacon and Cheese Turnovers recipe presents beautifully for a holiday or celebratory brunch! Here’s the detailed recipe. Look for Godshall’s Original Chicken Bacon in a store near you!
