Can you relate to this struggle? I want to plan a fabulous, Pinterest-worthy party, but I also want to enjoy said party and not be up all night DIYing. What if I told you that all of the 4th of July party decorations you see here came in one box and set up in literal minutes? What if I also told you that the food and drinks were also made and set up in minutes? Today I’m sharing how to throw the easiest patriotic 4th of July party ever. Part of why it’s so easy are these red, white, and blue decorations from Coterie (more on that in a second), but I’ve also got quick and easy 4th of July party food ideas, and a fabulous 4th of July cocktail recipe. 4th of July party decorations
For 4th of July party supplies, or décor and accessories for any party, Coterie is my jam! Their mission is to offer elevated party products, curated for any occasion and shipped to your door. They believe in taking the pressure of perfection off your plate (no pun intended) so you can spend more time on your guests, since after all, the people are what make the party. For the 4th of July (or any other patriotic party idea), this set of red, white, and blue decorations is perfect. Accented with gold, it is customizable to the number of people you are hosting, with options to get just the essentials (such as plates, cups, napkins, balloons, and the like), or go for the Luxe set with additional options (like the party fans, a banner, and metallic gold paper straws).
The red and white gingham napkins are perfectly Americana, especially with the beautiful blue plates. The metallic gold accents from the stripes on the cups, the straws, the trim on the dessert plates, confetti, and party picks give it an elevated feel, which is what Coterie is known for.
The red, white, and blue fans decorations were pre-assembled and just required opening and taping together. This saved SO much time on the party set-up! The glittery gold star party picks that come with the basic set can be used to secure sliders or sandwiches, to serve with appetizers, as toppers for cupcakes, or to garnish drinks like I did.
4th of July party food ideas
Is it even a 4th of July party if you don’t serve something cooked on a grill? There’s a shortcut to this 4th of July party food idea: get pre-cut kabob vegetables from your grocery store and add pre-cut grilling or stewing steak, chicken, or shrimp. A little cracked salt, pepper, and garlic powder and you’ve got a guest-worthy party entrée prepped in minutes. Cook on the grill for a few minutes, and you have a stress-free party dish.
Another quick 4th of July party food idea is to serve ready-made red, white, and blue food to go along with the rest of the patriotic-themed party decorations. Fresh fruit is readily available during the summer and a staple for a 4th of July cookout. Serve red fruits (watermelon, strawberries, and raspberries) with blue fruits (blueberries and blackberries) in bowls, with virtually no prep except washing your fruit and slicing the watermelon.
Patriotic party cocktail recipe
This 4th of July cocktail recipe is also deceptively easy and matches the red, white, and blue decorations.
Patriotic Punch recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of prosecco or other sparkling wine
- 1/2 a 2-liter bottle of lemon-lime soda
- Sliced strawberries
- Raspberries
- Blueberries
Directions:
- Pour sparkling wine and sprite into a punch bowl and stir.
- Add fresh fruit to the punch bowl.
- Serve by scooping the drink and some of the fresh fruit into a cup, and garnish with fresh berries on a star pick (I used one of the 4th of July party supplies from my Coterie box).
There you have it! An entirely stress-free party to set-up, with everything taking just minutes to prepare. And would you have guessed? I think it turned out looking pretty darn good for being so easy! Who says quick and easy can’t also be fabulous?
