We are big lovers of all things Irish (see more from our Ireland travels here), so St. Patrick’s Day is always one of our favorite holidays to celebrate. This year the hubs and I thought it would be fun to develop a new St. Patrick’s Day cocktail recipe, which led us to create this tasty St. Paddy’s Day shot – the Dublin Kiss! This creamy St. Patrick’s Day shot has a kiss of mint with the addition of a splash of crème de menthe. It’s very quick and easy to make and goes down smooth, which makes it the perfect drink idea for a St. Patrick’s Day party. If you’re looking for a recipe for shots with Jameson Irish Whiskey, this is the drink for you. While Jameson shots are delicious on their own (I know from extensive experience), this cocktail recipe adds a little something special to your celebration.
We created the name of this shot since it uses Jameson Irish Whiskey and Baileys Irish Cream (both made in Dublin, Ireland – though you can also use Carolans Irish Cream). The “kiss” idea came from the splash of crème de menthe (invented in France), which adds a little French kiss to the Irish concoction.
This is a super easy, quick, three-ingredient shot that you and your guests will be wanting more and more of on St. Patrick’s Day! Just be sure to enjoy it responsibly!
Sláinte!
