- 3 tablespoons salted butter

How to make this Fruity Pebbles Treats recipe

To make these Easter Fruity Pebbles Treats, start by lining a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper then coating it with nonstick cooking spray. While parchment paper isn’t totally necessary, I find it helpful when making cut-out cereal treats, as you can just pull the treats out of the pan with the paper and put it straight onto a cutting board. Set the prepared pan aside while you make the Fruity Pebbles Treats.
This next part is very similar to a basic cereal treats recipe. Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat, then add marshmallows and stir until completely melted (going low and slow is key). Remove the pan from heat. Place the Fruity Pebbles cereal in a large bowl. Add the marshmallow mixture and stir until the cereal is well coated. Next, evenly press the cereal mixture into the prepared pan with a greased spatula. Set the Fruity Pebbles Treats aside and allow to cool completely.
Once cooled, remove the Fruity Pebbles Treats (with the parchment paper) from the pan and place them on top of a cutting board. Cut the treats into Easter egg shapes using an egg-shaped cookie cutter, or by bending a metal circle cookie cutter into an oval, egg-like shape.

Melt the Candy Melts in the microwave per package directions. Using a pastry bag or plastic zipper bag with a tip snipped off, pipe slightly curved stripes and zig zag patterns over the top of the treats while they are still on the parchment paper. Allow the candy to set completely before serving (you can chill the Fruity Pebbles Easter Treats in the refrigerator for a few minutes to expedite the process).

You can get the kids involved in the Fruity Pebbles Treat decorating process too! You can also add some sparkle with some sugar sprinkles added on top before the Candy Melts dry.

Fruity Pebbles Treats are seriously yummy! I promise they won’t last long once your family and Easter guests try them.
