Halloween cupcakes ideas

After I created 4 easy Halloween cupcake decorating ideas for Wilton recently, I was inspired to share them along with my other favorite easy cupcakes for Halloween. Here is the full roundup!

Ghost Cupcakes. You can transform cupcakes into a Halloween theme with just a few additions. White frosting with thick piping just needs candy eyeballs to become cute ghosts. Get the instructions here.

Pulled Dot Mini Ghost Cupcakes. Another easy way to make ghost cupcakes are using the pulled dot frosting method. These cupcakes that I created for Wilton are frosted pink before the ghosts are added, which make them not only great for Halloween, but also for Summerween. Get the instructions on Wilton here.

Pumpkin Cupcakes. There are a lot of different variations for pumpkin cupcake decorating ideas online, so I wanted to think of something a little different. I decided on a simple pumpkin cupcake decoration that uses green candy melts to create a pumpkin stem and vines. I love how these cupcakes decorated like pumpkins turned out! Get the instructions here.

Candy Melts Spiderweb Cupcakes. Cupcakes with black and orange frosting can be topped with a spiderweb made from white Candy Melts piped onto wax paper in a spiderweb pattern. You can also add a plastic spider ring. Get the instructions here.

Frosting Spiderweb Cupcakes. Not just Candy Melts, you can use black icing to pipe spiderwebs on top of frosted cupcakes rolled in sanding sugar, like these cupcakes I created for Wilton. Get the instructions on Wilton here.

Mummy Cupcakes. Another Halloween cupcake idea that I created for Wilton are these super easy mummies using frosting and candy eyeballs. Get the instructions on Wilton here.

Jack-O-Lantern Cupcakes. A few different icing tips can help you make a Jack-o-Lantern design on top of your cupcake. I used pink for a non-traditional Halloween cupcake design that I created for Wilton, but you can use orange or black as well. Get the instructions on Wilton here.

Bloody Knife Cupcakes. I call these “Slasher Cupcakes,” and they’re really easy to decorate thanks to ready-made Knife and Cleaver Royal Icing Decorations from Wilton. Get the instructions here.

Candy Corn Cupcakes. These Candy Corn cupcakes are also really easy (and less spooky than the other ideas, so they’re great for school parties). Get the instructions here.
