One of our favorite things to do as a family each year is coming up with family Halloween costume ideas. We try to find costume ideas for things that we’re interested in that are also popular culturally for the given year. As Puerto Ricans and major fans of Bad Bunny, we loved that Bad Bunny held such a big cultural moment this year, especially around his iconic Super Bowl Halftime Show. As it turns out, the Halftime Show also inspired an easy group Halloween costume idea! Bad Bunny Super Bowl Halloween Costume
Being our family’s biggest Bad Bunny fan, Sawyer got to be Benito for our family Bad Bunny Super Bowl Halloween costume. Here’s how we put it all together.
What you need:
- Off-white football jersey with number “64” and some arm stripes added in iron-on vinyl with my Cricut
- White long-sleeve button-up shirt with DIY shoulder pads added on top (to go under the jersey)
- White tie
- White gloves
- Off-white pants with rope as a belt
- White Adidas shoes
- Football with “Together, we are America” added in vinyl with my Cricut. I used a cheap foam football, you can use a regular ball too.
Bad Bunny halftime show backup dancer Halloween costume
There were several different outfits for the dancers in the Bad Bunny Super Bowl Halftime Show, but I opted for a brown and cream look for our group Bad Bunny Halloween costume aesthetic. Mostly active wear, these pieces will continue to get use after Halloween as well.
What you need:
- Brown crop tank top
- Layered sheer tank top (the one I got was really bright white, which threw off the aesthetic, so I dyed it with some coffee to make it more of a tan color)
- Gold jewelry
- Brown bike shorts
- Brown fishnet stockings
- Cream and beige plaid long-sleeved shirt
- Tennis shoes
Bad Bunny halftime show plenero Halloween costume
One of the easiest costumes for our Bad Bunny Super Bowl Halloween costume ideas was Mal’s plenero (one of the the accompanying musicians) costume. These items are also all usable after Halloween.
What you need:
- White guayabera shirt
- Khaki or beige pants
- Straw boater hat
- Beige or tan boat shoes
- Tambourine (pandereta) or güiro
Sugar Cane Brigade (“grass people” or “bush people”) Halloween costume
You can’t have a Bad Bunny Halftime Show Halloween costume without the “grass people!” Since My husband always gets the funny costumes, this was a no-brainer for him. We actually got to reuse his green bodysuit from our DIY Loki Variant Halloween Costumes as a base for this one, and basically just strapped bundles of faux grass to him with duct tape.
