How to make this sangria mocktail recipe
This non-alcoholic sangria is easy to make, whether you’re making it for Cinco de Mayo non alcoholic drinks for a party, or anytime you’re in the mood for a refreshing, sparkling sangria mocktail recipe. To make this sangria mocktail, you’ll start by preparing the fruit. To do this, wash all the fruit thoroughly first (as the spent fruit will be going into your mocktail sangria pitcher after juicing). Cut the grapefruit into quarters or eighths, and cut the limes into quarters (reserving the additional wedges for later). Juice the limes and grapefruit pieces into a pitcher with ice, then add the spent fruit into the pitcher.
Next, add the strawberries and raspberries to your non alcoholic sangria recipe.
Pour the agave nectar over the fruit in the pitcher. This adds some natural sweetness and the flavor balances out the lack of booze in this recipe for non alcoholic sangria.
Here’s where we add the sparkle to this sparkling sangria mocktail recipe! First, add the non-alcoholic rosé to the pitcher…
… then, add the chilled sparkling water to the pitcher.
Stir your non-alcoholic sangria with a long wooden spoon until well mixed (you’ll want a chance for the agave nectar to blend in with the other liquids, and let the fruit swish around to infuse flavor into everything).
Make-Ahead Tip: If you want to make this non alcoholic sangria recipe in advance, omit the soda water and refrigerate for 1-2 hours after stirring in the non-alcoholic rosé. This will also allow the flavors to blend a bit more (but it is not required if you want to make and serve it immediately). Then, when ready to serve your mocktail sangria, add the chilled soda water to the pitcher to make it freshly sparkly, and stir again.
Now it’s time to serve your Cinco de Mayo non alcoholic drinks! Prepare the cups for presentation and serving by placing granulated sugar in a shallow dish.
Presentation Tip: If you’re making these for a party or with a theme, you can use colored sugar (mix sugar with some food coloring – you an use one color, or make a few different colored sugars in separate dishes to add a multi-colored rim).
Use the reserved lime wedges to wet the rims of your serving glasses, then roll the rims of the glasses in the sugar to coat.
Pour the Rosé Sangria Mocktail into the prepared glasses, then spoon a few pieces of the fruit into each glass.
This sparkling sangria mocktail recipe tastes as good as it is pretty!
You can add as much of the fruit from the pitchers as you like into your sangria mocktail glasses.
