These last few weeks have been a test. I mean, 2020 as a whole has been a massive test, but these past few weeks have challenged my usual optimistic and hopeful spirit. Because we love Halloween so much, and because 2020, we decided to do more than one Halloween costume this year. We figured why not get extra festive and spend some time celebrating and dressing up as the things we love (see our Hamilton costumes that I shared last week). Our family LOVES @TheMandalorian series, and we have watched it all the way through several times. Because of how much we love it (and @StarWars in general – you might remember our @StarWarsMovies: The Force Awakens costumes from a few years ago), this choice was a no-brainer! We got really into it, and decided to DIY everything 1) to save money (the really good cosplay ones on Etsy are REALLY pricy), 2) because not all of these costumes exist yet, and 3) because we love an excuse to get crafty. The hubs had to be Mando, AKA Din Djarin (the Mandalorian), I chose to be ex-shock trooper Cara Dune, Grayson decided to be the bounty-turned-nurse droid, IG-11, and Sawyer chose the Ugnaught Kuiil as his character. You'll be surprised at how some of these came together!

I've been posting a lot about the sustainable choices my family has been making. One of the most significant is to incorporate more #plantbased meals in our diet.
