Football party food table sign
Football-themed food table sign – handwritten version. This food station sign can be easily DIYed with any size chalkboard sign. Some simple wording (Ready, Set, Eat) plus some Xs and Os and you’re ready for kick-off.
Football-themed food table sign – Cricut version. If you don’t trust your hand-writing, you can make this version of the football food table sign using vinyl and your Cricut cutting machine. Here are the instructions, a link to the art in the Cricut Design Space, and the products needed.
What you need:
- Football Food Sign art in the Cricut Design Space
- Cricut Joy
- Cricut Smart Vinyl (Permanent), White
- Cricut Joy Transfer Tape
- Cricut Weeding Tools
- Blank chalkboard sign
How to make it:
- Resize the artwork as needed to fit your chalkboard sign.
- Follow the prompts on your Cricut app to choose the appropriate materials, load, and start cutting.
- Weed the excess vinyl.
- Add transfer paper to the top of the artwork, and firmly press down so the art sticks to the transfer tape and comes off of the backing.
- Position the sticky side onto the chalkboard sign (the gridlines on the transfer tape are helpful for keeping the artwork straight).
- Press down firmly to make sure the art is attached to the chalkboard sign surface, then remove the transfer tape.
Football banners and garlands
Football game day banner decoration – store bought version. I found this great banner on Amazon (click here to buy it), and now bring it out for every football watch party. I love that it’s neutral enough to use for any team, and either NFL, NCAA, or high school football party decorations. Feeling a little more DIY? Check out the Cricut DIY version below.
Football game day banner decoration – DIY version. If you’re feelin’ extra crafty, you can make your own football game day banner. The benefit of making it yourself is that you can make each pennant as large as you want, and you can print as many as you want to customize the length of your football banner. Here are the instructions, a link to the art in the Cricut Design Space, and products needed to create the project.
What you need:
- Football Banner art in the Cricut Design Space
- Cricut Maker 3 or other Cricut cutting machine
- Cricut Light Grip Mat (12×24)
- Cricut Cardstock Sampler, Basics (you need black and white paper for this project)
- Cricut Cardstock Sampler, Brown Tones (you need brown paper for this project)
- Cricut Weeding Tools
- Cricut Glue Gun
- Cricut Mini Glue Sticks
- Hole punch
- Twine
How to make it:
- Resize your art as needed (and if applicable), then follow the prompts in your Cricut app and on your cutting machine to load the materials and start cutting. You will want to duplicate the project to however many banner pennants you will want to print.
- Remove the art from the mat, weed, and repeat with the other cuts.
- Use a hot glue gun to attach the paper layers.
- Hole punch the corners, and add twine to assemble the banner.
Printable garland football decoration. You can make this festive football party garland yourself, and can even get your kids to help, as it’s easy enough for little hands! Get the free game day paper chain printable from The Centsible Life here.
What you need:
- The printable (link to the free printable is above)
- A color printer
- Paper
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape
Football party cups
DIY football cups. As you saw in my super easy football party food ideas post, pretty much anything that’s brown can be made into little footballs by decorating on some white laces.
What you need:
How to make it:
- Just draw on some laces, let the marker dry, and you are ready to serve your favorite party beverages.
DIY personalized football party cups. For something nicer than the plastic cup idea, you can also use these football beer mug tumblers from Amazon. They have a blank spot on the tumbler that my sister discovered was perfect for adding some personalization with her Cricut and some vinyl. We made these for a football-watching birthday party for my mom.
Football-themed water bottle labels
Football-themed water bottle wrappers. Mimic ref stripes easily using black and white striped wrapping paper! Cut to the size of your water bottles to replace the brand wrapping and secure with double-sided tape. This easy DIY adds a great festive accent to your game day spread.
Football party food serving supplies
Football toothpicks – store bought version. We love these football flag picks! You can get them on Amazon here. They are such an easy way to add some fun football decorations to your football party food display, and a great way for guests to eat bite-sized football party appetizers like my Crock Pot Party Meatballs. Want to DIY them instead? Check out this homemade version made with your Cricut!
Football food picks – DIY version. If you’re in the mood to make your own football cupcake toppers or football flag food picks, you can make them with your Cricut. Here are the instructions, a link to the art in the Cricut Design Space, and products needed.
What you need:
- Football Food Picks art in the Cricut Design Space
- Cricut Joy
- Cricut Joy Light Grip Mat (4.5×12)
- Cricut Cardstock Sampler, Basics (you’ll need white paper for this project)
- Cricut Cardstock Sampler, Brown Tones (you’ll need brown paper for this project)
- Cricut Weeding Tools
- Cricut Glue Gun
- Cricut Mini Glue Sticks
- Double-sided tape
- Toothpicks
How to make it:
- Get the art from the Cricut Design Space (link above) and duplicate for the amount of picks you’d like to make.
- Follow the prompts on your Cricut Design Space app and cutting machine to choose the appropriate materials, load, and cut. Since a Light Grip Mat is ideal for cardstock, I used one sized for the Cricut Joy.
- Repeat with the second color.
- Fold the brown flags in half. Add some double-sided tape to the inside, and add one of the white triangles.
- Add hot glue to one edge of a toothpick and place the toothpick to the inside fold. Add more hot glue around the edges of the inside of the flag, and fold the paper over, pinching to seal with hot glue.
- Repeat with the remaining food picks.
Functional football decorations: Stadium snack display. You can display snacks in this epic way for only about $15! I originally saw an idea on Pinterest to make your own snack stadium, but when I found this ready-made football snack stand food display on Amazon for a reasonable price, I decided to save myself the DIY effort and just buy it. Get this football snack stadium from Amazon here, and see my super easy football party food ideas post for inspiration on what to serve in it.
Football party plates and napkins. This football paper plates and napkins set from Amazon look great with green tablecloths and green plastic ware.
Other football party decorations
Game day door sign. Not pictured, but a few other football party decorations ideas that I have used for football parties in the past are this game day door sign (from Amazon) and the other items listed below.
Football field tablecloth. I love this football field plastic table cover from Amazon. You can also use strips of turf as tablecloths (like this from Amazon), but since they are not that comfortable to lean on, I recommend using the turf strips for food buffet or food display tables. It has a great effect for photographs, as you’ll see in my super easy football party food ideas post.
Goal post centerpiece football decorations. Another cheap and easy football party décor idea is this goal post centerpiece from Amazon. Since they are from Amazon, you can get them quickly with Prime so you can have them in time for the Super Bowl. They also go nicely with the snack stadium pictured above.
Don’t forget to pin and share if you are inspired, and tag @fabeveryday in your pictures on social media if you use any of these ideas! I love seeing how you use my party planning ideas!
