Fall is one of the best times of year for our family, and a big reason for that is because it is football season! We are all big college football fans, and with the hubs being a third-generation University of Texas Longhorn, most Saturdays in the fall are spent cheering on the Horns. For every UT home game, you can find the #FabFam on campus at our tailgate (going eight years strong!). For away games, we love to watch our teams play on TV at home. And since tailgates and game watching are synonymous with good food, we are always cooking up a whole bunch of good game-watching grub!

Today I’m sharing a few easy recipes that are perfect for a football game watching party. All of these recipes are quick and easy, and can be pulled together for a big party, or even a last minute get together. Even better, all of these essentials for the throwing your own ultimate HomeGate can be found conveniently at your local Walmart.

The delicious, easy recipes I’m sharing today use some of our favorite, versatile ingredients like Frank’s® RedHot sauce, French’s® Mustard, and Stubb’s® Bar-B-Q sauce. There’s no time for a fumble when trying to impress your guests, so only trusted brands will do to ensure you score!

Garlic-Basil Dip ‘N Sauce
Using French’s® Classic Yellow Mustard (made with stone ground, #1 Grade Mustard Seeds, and containing no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives), this sauce can be used as a dip, or as a sandwich spread. Get the recipe here, and find more great recipes using French’s® Mustard on their recipe website here.

Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Chicken Nachos

Buffalo wing lovers know there is just no substitute for Frank’s® RedHot, which was actually the secret ingredient used in the original Buffalo wings created in 1964! My whole family loves Frank’s® RedHot because they blend flavor and heat perfectly – without a 5-alarm fire in your mouth! These Buffalo Chicken Nachos take all of five minutes to cook (not including prep), and are a delicious choice for using versatile Frank’s® RedHot when you want to think outside the wing. These are made using Frank’s® RedHot Buffalo sauce, you could also use Frank’s® Redhot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce. Get the recipe here, and find more great ways to use Frank’s® RedHot on their recipe website here.

Frank’s Bang Bang Shrimp
Another great game day appetizer are these crispy, spicy shrimp using Frank’s® Redhot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce. Get the recipe here.

Crispy BBQ Chicken Wings
A true Texas tailgate or HomeGate requires a good Texas BBQ sauce. This recipe uses the one-and-only Stubb’s® Original Bar-B-Q Sauce and their Beef Marinade. Stubb’s® Bar-B-Q’s line of sauces, marinades, and rubs are made right with quality, gluten-free ingredients, and contain no high fructose corn syrup. Get the recipe for these savory, crispy wings here, and see more delicious recipes from Stubb’s® Bar-B-Q on their recipe site here.

Classic Game Watching Sides
An easy way to stretch your HomeGate spread is to include game-watching staples like tortilla chips, salsa, guacamole, and queso dip.

Brownie Footballs

Is it even a party if there’s no dessert? One of my favorite football-themed sweets to make are these super easy brownie “footballs.” Make your favorite brownie recipe (or a boxed brownie mix for a shortcut) and use a circle cookie cutter with overlapping cuts to create little ovals. Pipe on laces with white cake decorating icing, and you’ve got a simple, but adorable dessert perfect for your HomeGate.
