What you need to make this slow cooker beer cheese dip with beef bacon

- 2 cups (about 8 ounces) freshly shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup (about 4 ounces) freshly shredded smoked gouda cheese
- 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup beer (lager or pale ale)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (10-ounce) package Godshall’s Beef Bacon, cooked and chopped (you can also use pork, chicken, or turkey bacon for this recipe). Look for Godshall’s bacon varieties in stores near you.
How to make slow cooker bacon cheese dip

You can click here to watch a video of me making this slow cooker beer cheese dip on Instagram, but here are the steps. Start by adding cheddar cheese, smoked gouda cheese, cream cheese, beer, Dijon mustard, salt, garlic powder, and pepper to a slow cooker. Cover and set to High. Cook for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to incorporate the ingredients.
After 45 minutes, stir in most of the chopped beef bacon, saving some for topping later.
After an hour, stir and set to Keep Warm.

Top with the reserved beef bacon and serve with tortilla chips and/or soft pretzel bites.

Ingredients
